Medical Privacy

I attended the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons in Phoienix Arizonain September.  I gave a presentation which was an over-view of the legistlation in Congress in 2008 which AAPS focused its efforts on.  Most of my presenation focused on medical privacy and health information technology related bills.   I did speak briefly about the REAL ID rebelliion as well as the need to organize AAPS's efforts in a transpartisan manner.  There were some facinating presentation which I hope to be able to post once they are online.  One was " Adaptive Innovations in Medicine: Vitamin D, Iodine, Selenium." by  Donald Miller, M.D (professor, cardiothoracic surgery division, Univ. Wash.). and another was
"Vaccines and Childhood Illnesses: Beyond Thimerosal." by  David Ayoub, M.D. , (radiologist, Springfield, IL). I got to spend some good time in conversations with Dr. Waston, a DO who practices anti-aging medicine as well as Dr. Coy, an environmental medicine doctor.   I also met a few new doctors who were impressive including  Jay Crutchfield, M.D. (general surgery, Prescott, AZ).
