New Position with Reuniting America Part 2

In late 2007 I was made President of Reuniting America. As the President, I over-saw and organized the second transpartisan Iran retreat which was held in June in Washington DC. It was facilitated by Mark Gerzon.  We had a great  (private) working group from across the political sprectrum help to organize the retreat.  Samah Norquist from Global Partners was a key consultant to the project.  Of course, no retreat has been possible without the logistical support of Debilyn Molineaux.   As a result of the Iran retreat, entitled " U.S. Iran and Israel, I was invited as a foreign policy expert to Israel in the summer of 2008. It was an amazing trip. We received briefings from Israeli military, policy and political people as well as Palestinians. We traveled to the Gaza border, West Bank, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and the Golan Heights.  I left feeling happy to be a jew in seeing what the Israeli's have been able to do technologically as well as agriculturally and depressed for the situation that both the Israeli's and Palestinians find themselves in at this time.  Hopefully, the work that I do thorugh ACDA and with Samah Norquist at Global Partners can be useful to helping to solve the family conflicts between the israeli's and Palestinians.

I am also working with Ana Micka and Kelly Young on a transparency in government and voting integrity project.

In October or November of 2008, my activities within RA will be tranfered to a new organization the Transpartisan Center which will continue to be active in transpartisan related activities.
